Submit to Dear Danielle

Heartfelt guidance on love, identity, and parenting with the lingering ache of a mother wound.

We all carry questions we’re afraid to ask out loud. Dear Danielle is a space to ask them. I write for the woman who’s lived through childhood abuse or maternal trauma, who’s questioning whether she can love her children well because she never learned to love herself — and maybe felt unloved as a child. If this sounds like you—this space is for you.

Topics you might have a question about:

  • Navigating a strained relationship with your mother or caregiver

  • Fear of repeating painful patterns as a parent

  • Mothering yourself while mothering your child

  • Grief, guilt, or anger that won’t release

  • Spiritual confusion or loneliness on your healing path

  • Self-love culture and defining a love ethic

  • Building your own definition of mother

  • Childbirth trauma, parenting on the spectrum

  • Yoga therapy, yoga for healing emotional trauma

How to Submit:

  • Send your letter using the form below or email: deardanielle@daniellejernigan.com

  • Use a pseudonym if you’d like—something like Still Healing in Houston or Tired of Tiptoeing

  • Keep your letter under 500 words

  • Be specific and honest. You don’t need to be polished—just real.

  • Let me know if you'd be open to an audio reply or writing prompt in response

Note: Not all letters will be published, but every single one is read with care and answered. I may lightly edit for clarity or length.
